Since March 2023, Lisa Bross has joined us as Group Leader for Research & Business Development. To help you get to know her better, we asked her a few questions:

Lisa, what led you to water management and eventually to KWB?

My passion for water has been with me since the beginning of my studies. Additionally, through various activities in the water sector, I gained insights into science, as well as public and private companies. After completing my PhD at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, I spent several years leading the research and development department at a municipal water supply company. Together with my colleagues at KWB, I now aim to develop solutions for the overarching challenges of water management through strategic research and business development.

You are the new group leader for the Research and Business Development department. Could you tell us more about your goals and responsibilities?

The KWB team's work addresses relevant future questions concerning climate change, water crises, urbanization, digitization, and sector coupling. With our research and business development, we aim to simplify strategic decision-making processes, expand partnerships with different stakeholder groups, as well as intensify work on interfaces and synergies.

You are involved not only in Research and Business Development but also in project work. What areas of expertise do you bring to your work at KWB?

Professionally, I will initially contribute my expertise in resilience and climate adaptation, among other things, to the IMPETUS project.
