Trends and Developments in Wastewater Treatment

Trace Organics Removal and Recovery of Energy and Nutrients

Technical Symposium at Congress WASSER BERLIN INTERNATIONAL am 24. April 2013

Wastewater technologies are currently facing new challenges. While existing methods aim at the most efficient removal of phosphorus, nitrogen and carbon, future treatment technologies will have to meet increasing demands. Wastewater treatment plants will require an advanced removal of phosphorus and of very low concentrations of emerging pollutants. At the same time, the new technologies should aim at reducing energy requirements associated with wastewater treatment processes.
