Our Quality Policy
Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin (KWB) is a centre for water research, founded in 2001 as a non-profit limited company with registered office in Berlin. Our shareholders are Berliner Wasserbetriebe/Berlinwasser Holding GmbH and Technologiestiftung Berlin.

We develop research projects that integrate future-related topics such as digitisation, resource efficiency, energy and climate resilience into the traditional research areas relating to the urban water cycle. We carry out our projects together with our national and international partners from science, industry and administration and make the results available to the public.

Our public relations activities deliver up-to-date information on research trends and developments to interested citizens. We endeavour to steadily improve the successful, collaborative and sustainable relationship with all interested stakeholders. The management of Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin is committed to an exemplary business and quality policy. All our employees are familiar with the quality standards and the quality processes and are obliged to implement the corresponding requirements. The commitment of the management aims to constantly improve the efficiency of our quality management. All processes and guidelines are adapted to the general management of the KWB and apply to all employees.

The management commits itself to the implementation of all defined elements of our quality management putting the emphasis on our particular competence in the professional implementation of research, communication and network activities.
