Jochen Rabe appointed as a member of the Berlin Smart City Strategy Advisory Board

Our Managing Director Jochen Rabe was appointed by the governing mayor of Berlin as a member of the strategy advisory board of the recently commenced Smart City project.

Jochen, who is also a professor at the Einstein Center Digital Future, will accompany the strategy development funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community Smart City program Modellprojekte Smart Cities. He will provide impulses from the urban development and critical infrastructure perspective, capitalizing on his and the KWB’s extensive experience in both areas.

“Water is still highly underrepresented in the Smart City discussion. Hence, we are even more proud, that the Berlin Smart City project does indeed include a Water Smart City project! A first success of us pushing the boundaries between the Digital City and Digital Water. The strategy will need some heavy lifting, but the impressive list of experts will help to spark the much-needed leap forward for the Smart City Berlin.”  – Jochen Rabe
