The project “Circular Agronomics” promotes the recirculation of carbon as an energy source as well as of phosphorus and nitrogen as nutrients. It aims to enhance the reuse of the nutrients especially in the agricultural sector. Therefore, innovative technologies for the nutrient recovery are investigated and furthermore, the interactions between the plants and the soil due to the application of the recycled nutrients are analysed.
Circular Agronomics is being financed by the EU Horizon 2020 programme for four years and was started on 1st September 2018.
