All about Rain – KWB at Berlin’s Long Night of Sciences

Rain is a boon? After the heavy rainfalls during the past summer there are reasonable doubts about this statment. Why is it impossible to bathe in the urban waters after stormwater events? Why do green roofs and facades have a positive impact on city climate and water quality? Why were Berlin streets, basements and subway tunnels flooded despite a complex sewage system? By lectures, guided tours and exhibits, we would like to show you how urban stormwater management works and inform you about the added value that decentralised systems can bring to quality of life in cities.
